Clinic Update in Regards to COVID-19
Regarding this worldwide pandemic, patients who have ongoing medical issues unrelated to COVID-19 should not be ignored or pushed aside. In general healthy people are much more resistant to infections that those who are not as healthy and who are afflicted with other co-morbidity issues. At the present time, our office is taking all the necessary precautions in regards to COVID-19. Presently, we are seeing established and new patient after a very thorough screening process.
Our Office Protocol
- Limited office hours
- Planned limited number of patients in our clinic at one time (2-3 patients spread out as part of our protocol)
- Thorough cleaning with anti-bacterial soap and disinfectants after every patient visit
- Our office will not see patients with any signs or symptomology of a cold, fever, upper respiratory tract infection that is or could be related to COVID-19.
- We do not test for COVID-19 at our facility. Seek out other avenues for testing for COVID-19, i.e. hospital or primary care office.
If any of those patients have the aforementioned symptomology they will not be seen in our clinic and it is recommended that they stay home, enact self-quarantine, and/or follow up with those medical personnel that treat such illnesses. Our office is focused on conservative orthopedic care and pain management, meaning that our staff still performs Naprapathic connective tissue manipulation, Tuina, Acupuncture and all other related modalities. Our cleaning protocol before and after each treatment is thorough and extensive. As of March 27, 2020, Governor Pritzker deemed Acupuncture and Acupuncturists essential healthcare providers so that our office may continue to serve those patients in need.
